The Ocoee Police Department presented recently a $1,960 check to Orlando Health in support of the Orlando Health Breast Cancer Institute.
“We’re so proud of this partnership with the Ocoee Police Department, which provides support to people in our community who are battling cancer,” said Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital President Maggie Bonko. “These funds are utilized by the Orlando Health Cancer Institute in areas where we find the most need, and it’s touching that our neighbors are contributing and helping make a difference as our organizations highlight Breast Cancer Awareness Month.”
The PD said the donation was made possible thanks to the collective efforts of everyone who participated in the city of Ocoee's recent breast cancer walks and purchased breast cancer awareness T-shirts.
"Your support reflects our community’s strong commitment to helping those in need," Ocoee PD leaders shared on Facebook. "Thank you to all who contributed and played a vital role in making this happen. Together, we make a difference!"
