Wells Fargo celebrated the grand opening and ribbon-cutting of its new Hamlin branch location with the help of employees, local leaders from the Hispanic Chamber of Metro Orlando and community members at an event Nov. 19.
During the event, the Wells Fargo Foundation awarded a $15,000 grant to the West Orange Habitat for Humanity to support its efforts of constructing homes in Winter Garden. This funding is part of a $6.3 million donation to Habitat for Humanity International through the 2024 Wells Fargo Builds program to expand access to affordable homes across the United States.
“Our branches are the heartbeat of our communities,” said Liza Hall, Gold Coast Region Executive at Wells Fargo, who spoke at the event. “Our communities need branches – along with our digital banking tools and mobile app that allow us to serve our customers how they want to be served. We are committed to Winter Garden and all of Florida and look forward to creating strong relationships within the local communities and to help our customers to meet their financial goals.”
Wells Fargo leaders said the new bank branch aligns with its strategy of creating a more neighborhood-focused branch network and modernizing its retail footprint for both customers and employees.
The 2,631 square-foot branch has been designed and built to the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design standards and includes an assisted‑service ATM, a floorplan to create more space for conversation and consultation, and an interactive video screen in the customer lounge allowing bankers to lead visitors step-by-step through mobile tools and applications.
The Horizon West branch is located within the Hamlin Town Center at 5708 Hamlin Groves Trail, Winter Garden.
With the new location, Wells Fargo now has a total of 69 retail branches in Central Florida and more than 400 statewide.
