Walt Disney World has raised more than $3 million for Make-A-Wish through the fundraising sale of Florida license plates.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from the license plate sales go directly to Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida for children facing critical illnesses and their families.

“My heart lights up every time I drive, because I see so many Disney license plates and know the impact," Anne Cuba, Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida president and CEO, said. "Three million dollars can bring so much happiness and hope to families in need. In fact, it’s already helped us send more than 300 Florida families on unforgettable wish trips.”

Some of the wishes granted so far through the license plate sales include trips to Disney, a camper to travel the world in and a dream bedroom renovation.

Since Disney and Make-A-Wish started working together more than 40 years ago, the organizations have helped to grant more than 155,000 Disney-inspired wishes.

The newly redesigned license plates feature the iconic Cinderella Castle atop a vibrant blue gradient background, brought to life with a touch of pixie dust.

Florida drivers can purchase a Disney-specialty license plate at any Florida DMV, as well as online or in-person at a local county tax collector’s office.
