With the high likelihood of stormy weather, The First Academy has canceled its Fall Carnival, which was scheduled for Friday, Oct. 4.

“TFA’s leadership team consulted with a meteorologist, as a decision had to be made regarding the next steps,” school officials said in a statement on the TFA website. “Given the possible weather conditions, we believe this is the best course of action.

“We also want to be good stewards of the funds delegated for this event,” official said. “A possible rescheduling of the Fall Carnival will more likely ensure the full enjoyment of all families in all of the event’s activities. We are currently exploring options to reschedule the carnival, and we will keep you updated on any developments.”

Although the carnival is canceled, the Royal’s home game against Rabun Gap will take place at 7 p.m. at the Payne Stewart Athletic Complex.
