Orange County Library System branches close ahead of Hurricane Milton

The branches will close at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, and plan to reopen Friday, Oct. 11, for normal business hours, conditions permitting.

Orange County Library System branches have announced their closure ahead of the fast-approaching Hurricane Milton.

The branches will close at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, due to the approach of the storm, which is expected to impact the Orange County area Wednesday, Oct. 9.

All library branches and book drops will be closed Wednesday, Oct. 9, and Thursday, Oct. 10. 

OCLS plans to reopen Friday, Oct. 11, for normal business hours, conditions permitting. 

OCLS representatives said the organization's website and social media will be updated with additional information if further closures are necessary.
