Town cancels meetings, events, closes offices in preparation for storm

The town of Windermere has canceled two of its meetings, as well as one event, and closed its offices in preparation for Hurricane Milton.

The town of Windermere has canceled two of its meetings, as well as one event, and closed its offices in preparation for Hurricane Milton.

The Town Council meeting Tuesday, Oct. 8, and the Parks and Recreation Committee meeting Thursday, Oct. 10, both are cancelled. 

In addition, the farmers market has been cancelled Friday, Oct. 11. 

"The safety of our vendors, customers and staff is our top priority," Windermere representatives said. "We will monitor the storm’s progress and announce any further updates or schedule changes."

The town's offices also will be closed due to inclement weather Oct. 9 and 10. The town plans to re-open offices Oct. 11.
