Orange County Public Schools students will return to school Tuesday, Oct. 15.

District officials are continuing the process of assessing the conditions of our schools and facilities. At this point, there is no evidence of any major damage. Staff will be addressing any remaining issues within the schools to ensure they are ready for students to return on Tuesday.

Two West Orange and Southwest Orange campuses — Ocoee High School and Lake Buena Vista High School — were utilized as shelters during Hurricane Milton.

The district previously had closes campuses for Friday, Oct. 11, and Monday, Oct. 14 was already a designated student holiday, teacher workday.

All extracurricular and after-school activities may resume on Monday, Oct. 14. Any missed athletic and other student activities may be rescheduled, if possible. Schools will be working on new dates.
