The West Orange Junior Service League is hosting its 15th annual Spooky Sprint 5K Saturday, Oct. 19. This nighttime, family-friendly 5K is a great way to kick off the Halloween season. The race will be held in Oakland Park in Winter Garden.

The event features a 5K run/walk, a kids fun run, trick-or-treating, festive activities, food trucks and a live DJ. There also will be prizes for the top runners, and various sponsors will be on hand to chat with attendees. Packet pickup and activities will begin at 5 p.m., followed by a quick fun run for ages 1 to 5 at 5:50 p.m. and a half-mile kids race for ages 6 to11 at 6 p.m. The 5K starts at 6:30 pm.

All proceeds from the 5K benefit many non-profit charities throughout West Orange County supported by the West Orange Junior Service League. Registration for the event closes at 5:30 p.m. on race day. For more information or to register, visit bit.ly/3Nd3Gww.
