Following Orange County Public Schools' announcement that school will reopen Tuesday, Oct. 15 — with Monday, Oct. 14 already being a predetermined student holiday and teacher workday — it has also determined that Friday, Oct. 25 will serve as the make-up day for time missed due to Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

Although OCPS closed campuses for four days due to the two storms, due to the number of instructional minutes in the OCPS student schedule, only one make-up day will be needed.

OCPS also announced that all extracurricular and after school activities — including sports — may resume Oct. 14, and rescheduling of athletic events postponed due to the storm may begin. Practices may also resume voluntarily during the weekend.
