Windermere High golf sweeps Metro West Conference titles, boys win program’s fifth

Following the girls team, the Wolverine boys, led by Cameron Baez’s second-place finish, claimed the West Division title and finished second overall.

Following the Windermere girls golf team’s Metro West Conference championship win, the boys golf team completed the sweep and claimed the 2024 boys team Metro West Conference championship, the fifth in the program’s history, Oct. 1. 

The Wolverines also finished second in the overall Metro Orlando Conference championships with a score of 295, five strokes behind Winter Park High. 

Senior Cameron Baez led the way for Windermere, finishing second in the West division and fifth overall with a score of 70 (-2) over the 18-hole tournament.

Windermere followed the Metros win with a second-place team finish at the Vero Beach Invitational Oct. 7, with Avery Liu finishing in sixth with a score of 75.
