Andrew Agudo has been named principal of Horizon West Middle School. He sent a message to HWMS parents upon his hire to introduce himself.

“I have been with Orange County Public Schools for 18 years, with the last three as principal at Roberto Clemente Middle School,” Agudo said. “I look forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. I recognize that to be successful in school, our students need support from both home and school. As partners, we share the responsibility for our students’ success.

“I want you to know that I will work hard every day to meet those responsibilities,” he said. “I want to assure you that I will always put your students first. I hope to meet you all very soon.”

The school is located at 8200 Tattant Blvd., Windermere.
