In Foundation Academy girls volleyball's dominant three-set senior night sweep of Faith Christian in its final regular season game of 2024, Lions' senior outside hitter Madison Krause set a new single-season program record for kills with 287.

Krause had an incredible outing, recording 19 kills — along with three serve receptions and four digs — on the night to set the new record.

As a five-year member of the Lions volleyball program, Krause initially began to carve her place in the rotation as a sophomore by recording 152 kills (37.2% kill percentage) in 54 sets. Her number of kills jumped up to 229 (37.7% kill percentage) as a junior in 68 sets.

In Krause's final season at Foundation, through the district tournament (67 sets), not only has she taken a leap in the number of kills, 304 as of Oct. 17, but she's also upped her kill percentage to 39.1% and helped lead the Lions to a 17-4 record; the most wins in a season since 2014.

With the playoffs set to begin Oct. 22, Krause and the Lions still have plenty of opportunity to make noise in the 2024 season.
