Ocoee High has hired Todd Verkennes as the school’s next softball coach.

Verkennes has been a coach in the club ranks since 2007. Most recently, he owned and coached his own club team, Exclusives Academy, which coincidently use the Ocoee High softball facilities for training.

According to the EA website, Verkennes’ approach to building his club program is to focus on helping create tomorrow's future leaders with a philosophy called the “Triangle of Success.” Which is made up of three equal parts, the coaches, players and parents, with no one being more important than the other, but all three being fully bought into goals of the athlete.

The Knights finished the 2024 season with an 11-13 record and lost in the semifinals of the Class 7A, District 3 tournament to Lake Brantley High.
