WGFRD offering CPR class for citizens

The free event takes place Saturday, Sept. 21.

Are you interested in learning how to take a hands-on approach toward saving lives? The Winter Garden Fire Rescue Department is offering a free, 90-minute citizens CPR class to the community. Two classes are available, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 21.

The program will cover hands-on adult and child CPR, proper AED use, and adult and child choking. Upon completion, participants will earn a certificate acknowledging their successful demonstration and learned concepts detailed in the program.

Space is limited to 12 participants. Click here to pre-register. The classes will be held at the Fire Department Headquarters training room, 1 E. Cypress St., Winter Garden.
