Calling all adult adventurers: Local non-profit Eight Waves is hosting Night at the Children’s Museum, a fundraising dinner, tonight.

The event takes place at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at the Ocoee Lakeshore Center, 125 N. Lakeshore Drive, Ocoee.

Funds raised will go toward bringing the Eight Waves Children’s Museum to life.

Night at the Children's Museum promises to be a magical night filled with captivating entertainment, a thrilling live auction and a delicious dinner accompanied by specialty cocktails. Experience the joy and wonder of our new exhibits designed to inspire young minds and spark creativity.

Eight Waves’ children’s museum is a hands-on, literacy-focused play experience designed for children and families, featuring an abundance of interactive pretend play, dramatic games and activities for families.

The Playful Story Patch offers literacy adventures where kids can immerse themselves in beloved children’s books through real-life play. They can engage in activities like running a pretend veterinarian clinic or exploring the Three Little Pigs Village. Children can venture into enchanted forests from fairy tales, soar as pilots high in the sky, or step into the shoes of their favorite characters from classic stories.

In the Wonders & Wacky Workshop, creative minds can explore a wide variety of new and recycled art supplies to craft their own unique masterpieces. This space also offers themed craft kits and phenomenal bonding opportunities for families to engage in free activities that promote connection and fun.

Additionally, children can participate in interactive workshops, enjoy story time sessions and explore book corners.
