Windermere Prep's Alyssa Parsons commits to USC

After scoring 41 goals last season and receiving call-ups to the U16 USWNT, the Lakers star will be a Trojan come 2027.

Windermere Prep junior girls soccer player Alyssa Parsons announced her commitment to play college soccer at USC. 

“l am thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Southern California,” Parsons said in an Instagram post. “This decision marks a significant milestone in my journey, and I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to those who have been by my side throughout this process."

"To my family, your unwavering support, sacrifices and belief in me have been my greatest source of strength," she added. "Your encouragement has driven me to push beyond my limits. To my friends, thank you for all your support and encouragement. I am also deeply appreciative of my coaches and mentors for their guidance and faith in my abilities. I am thrilled to join the Trojan family and contribute to USC's rich tradition of excellence. I am excited to embark on this new chapter. All glory to god!”

Parsons transferred to WPS after a phenomenal freshman season at Apopka High, which saw her score 35 goals and dish out 11 assists. In her first season with the Lakers, Parsons didn’t disappoint by scoring 41 goals and recording six assists.
