UPDATE: Missing Ocoee man found safe

Ocoee Police said Wayne Allen Gay Jr. has been found.

UPDATE: Ocoee Police Department officials reported Wayne Allen Gay Jr. has been found safe.

"Wayne was found safe," police wrote on Facebook. "We thank the public for helping us find him."

EARLIER COVERAGE:
Ocoee Police Department detectives are asking the public for assistance in locating a missing man.

According to police reports, Wayne Allen Gay Jr. left his home in the Wesmere submission at about 9:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16. He hasn’t been seen since.

Gay was last seen wearing khaki shorts, a blue shirt, blue sneakers, a gray trucker-style cap and a red backpack. He was last seen walking southbound in the area of South Maguire Road in Ocoee. Gay has no known medical issues or mental health concerns.
