She will join the school with more than 20 years of experience in education.

She has served in various roles, including assistant principal, educator, and,  most recently, education consultant and executive director of the Aguila Youth Leadership Institute.

Medina said her journey has allowed her to develop innovative curricula, support high school students in their college journeys and collaborate with community partners to foster student success.

"I'm thrilled to share that I’ve recently moved to the area and couldn't be happier to be part of the Water Spring Middle School community," she said. "It's a vibrant place with a welcoming spirit, and I look forward to bumping into all around town!"

Medina is a proud parent of two daughters — one who is working on her master's degree and the other pursuing her bachelor's — both in STEM fields.

"This personal connection to education drives my passion for empowering the next generation, particularly in science and technology," Medina said. "As I settle into this beautiful new chapter in Florida, I’m excited about the opportunities to connect with fellow educators, parents and community members to create a supportive environment for our youth. Here’s to new beginnings and making lasting connections!"
