The city of Ocoee has announced its offices will be closed Sept. 26 due to potential impacts from hurricane Helene.

Ocoee City Hall and all administrative offices will be closed due to the storm's projected wind speeds that could exceed 35 mph, as well as wind gusts predicted to reach more than 50 mph.

Depending on the weather conditions, City Hall will reopen Sept. 27.

Due to the inclement weather, there also will be no solid waste pickup Sept. 26. Sanitation services will resume Sept. 27, pending weather conditions.

The make-up trash collection day for Sept. 26 will be Sept. 30.

The city’s contractor will begin picking up trash around 6 a.m. to collect the additional waste from the missed day.

Sandbags will continue to be available through 7 p.m. Sept. 25. The sandbag distribution site will be closed for the remainder of the week. Click here for more information on sandbag distribution.

Ocoee residents can find the latest hurricane information online at the city's website, on the city's Facebook page or on Ocoee TV Spectrum Channel 493, which also live streams here
