Here's all of the Week Six high school football action happening in West Orange and Southwest Orange County. Starting with the Orange Observer Game of the Week: The undefeated Windermere Wolverines finally come home to its new stadium as they host the Lake Buena Vista Vipers for homecoming.

Game of the Week: Lake Buena Vista (1-2) at Windermere (5-0)

For the first time in Windermere High football history, the Wolverines will play a home game on its campus as the visiting Vipers of Lake Buena Vista High will look to spoil the homecoming.

On the home side, be on the look for quarterback Jack Reilly. The senior transfer has been lights out for the Wolverines this season, throwing for 1,030 yards with 14 touchdowns, one interception and a 70.3% completion percentage. On the ground for Windermere, junior running back Henry Rogers has stepped into the void left behind by now-Wofford College player Isaiah Nell seamlessly. He's rushed for 488 yards with five touchdowns.

For the visiting Vipers, their toughness and relentless attitude will be on full display tonight as they look to deflate the excitement surrounding the stadium opening. Look for running back James Yauger to lead the ground game on offense, rushing for 256 yards with four touchdowns in three games. Senior two-way star Eric Denico also will be a factor at the receiver and defensive back positions.

Week Six

Friday, Sept. 27
All games start at 7 p.m. unless noted

Windermere Prep (1-2) vs. Faith Christian (2-3)
4 p.m. kickoff

The Lakers of Windermere Prep will look to capitalize on the momentum from winning their first game of the season, as they host Faith Christian. Look for athlete Peyton Hollern to be everywhere on the field for Windermere Prep — playing quarterback, running back, receiver and defensive back.

Legacy Charter (1-4) at Lake Highland Prep (2-2)
6 p.m. kickoff

The Eagles travel to downtown Orlando to face the Highlanders after picking up their first win of the season. Senior Jake Threadgill has been the leader of this Legacy Charter team on both sides of the ball, but especially on defense — racking up 26 tackles (five for a loss), three sacks, one interception and one blocked field goal.

Dr. Phillips (4-0) at Olympia (2-3)

Coming off of wins over three great programs — Ocoee High, Apopka High and Lake Mary High —  the Panthers of Dr. Phillips travel down the road to face rivals Olympia High. Expect Dr. Phillips' offense to be a big factor in this game, with senior quarterback Stanley Anderson-Lofton leading the way. The Titans will look to bounce back at home after a tough road loss to Lake Nona High last week.

Foundation Academy (1-3) at Holy Trinity Episcopal (2-2)

The Lions will be on the road following a difficult home loss in Week Five. Look for Foundation running back Sam Wood to lead the offense against the Tigers of Holy Trinity.

The First Academy (5-0) vs. Orlando Christian Prep (2-3)

In its second Class 1A, District 6 game of the season, the Royals will host OCP and look to extend its undefeated record and clinch the district crown. The TFA defense was insane last week, forcing seven turnovers against then-undefeated Atlantic High. Look for the Royals defenders to be all over the place in this potential district-clinching game.

Horizon (0-5) at Winter Springs (3-1)

Horizon football will be on the road for the fourth consecutive week, traveling to Seminole County to face Winter Springs High. As always, the Hawks will try to establish the run with lead back Kaio Oliveria, who has done a good job filling in for injured senior Jamarie Pierre. Oliveria has rushed for 491 yards on 118 carries with four touchdowns in five games.

West Orange (4-0) vs. Apopka (3-2)

After a convincing 35-7 road win over Lake Buena Vista High last week, the Warriors will face its biggest test of the season as the Blue Darters of Apopka High will make the trip to West Orange County. Having beaten Ocoee and West Port High, Apopka can clinch the Class 7A, District 5 championship with a win over the Warriors.

Monday, Sept. 30

CFCA (2-2) at P.K. Yonge (3-2)
6 p.m. kickoff

Due to the effects of Hurricane Helene, Central Florida Christian will play its Week Six road game on Monday, Sept. 30. Sophomore Mason Mathis will lead the way for the Eagles on offense, coming off of a three-touchdown performance in CFCA's second win of the season.

Ocoee (3-2) vs. West Port (1-4)
6 p.m. kickoff

Another game affected by the hurricane, the Knights will host West Port in the Class 7A, District 5 game. Ocoee senior Jamarian Robinson has emerged as one of the top running backs in the area this season — rushing for 569 yards on 76 carries with seven touchdowns.
