Dear reader:

Longtime readers of the West Orange Times & Observer, Southwest Orange Observer and OrangeObserver.com know our company has a tradition of having a little fun on April Fools’ Day.

Just to be clear: The story, “After soccer stadium debacle, city to consider new uses for land,” is not true.

Neither is “The need for Tweeds: Luxury clothier strikes deal for more billboards in West Orange.”

Or “Horizon West launches competition for bankers, dentists.”

So breathe easy. There is no street-racing track being built in Winter Garden. And as far as we know, there are no competitions being planned for Horizon West dentists and bankers.

However, we cannot promise there won’t be more Tweeds billboards.

Anyway, we hope our little spoofs made you smile. We know you depend on us for your hyperlocal news, and we are committed to delivering the best, most accurate and comprehensive news report in West Orange and Southwest Orange.

But we also know the importance of a little levity from time to time. We hope you do, too. Thanks for reading!
