Horizon High School’s marching band, The Sound of Horizon, is one of 13 high school bands selected to perform in the 2025 National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade in Washington, D.C.

The band will participate in this national springtime tradition, which takes place from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 12. The springtime parade will march on Constitution Avenue N.W. between Seventh and 17th streets in Washington, D.C., with a local broadcast airing and national syndication from April 20 to June 30.

The band will walk the parade route alongside floats, giant helium balloons, and parade special guest Princess Ariel, along with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse from Walt Disney World Resort, plus performers such as season 25 of NBC’s “The Voice” Asher HaVon and Grammy-nominated Kathy Sledge.
