Man killed while riding four-wheeler

The incident occurred Thursday, Feb. 20, in the Bay Pointe Apartments neighborhood in Winter Garden.

Winter Garden police have arrested and charged a man with first-degree murder for shooting and killing another man on Horizon Street in the Bay Pointe Apartments. The incident occurred just before 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20.

Police called to the scene discovered a man lying next to a four-wheel all-terrain vehicle; he was pronounced dead by medical personnel. Investigators determined there was a disturbance in reference to an ongoing issue with people riding motorcycles in the apartment complex, police said.

The victim was identified as 32-year-old Ja’Keem DeShun Williams. According to police, Williams was riding his ATV when he was shot by 57-year-old Ralph Francis Hensel. Investigators identified him as the suspect based on evidence obtained during the investigation, witness statements and statements made on scene by Hensel.
