Community organizations and residents are coming together to provide grief counseling for those impacted by the shooting last week in Winter Garden.

East Winter Garden residents are welcome to participate in community-based grief counseling at noon, Saturday, March 1, at West Orange Dream Center.

Registration is not required.

The community organizations are working to provide grief counseling after the shooting on Thursday, Feb. 20, in which 32-year-old Ja'Keem DeShun Williams was killed while riding an ATV.

"Our focus right now is on supporting his family and our community in the wake of this tragedy," Eight Waves posted on Facebook. "This is a moment that reminds us, we need each other. Love has to be louder than anything else."
