If your New Year’s resolution for 2025 is to improve your fitness, then the Olympia girls soccer program has an event this weekend that will help you reach that goal.

The soccer team will host its Titan Trot 5K fun run/walk at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake, 3401 S. Hiawassee Road, Orlando.

And unlike many 5Ks, canines are invited to join their two-legged owners in the fun.

“Participants can register their dogs to run/walk with them," girls soccer coach Dan Vincent said. "The event will feature professional timing and live tracking in our custom app (we will even have a Dog Leaderboard), and the post-race party will have a deejay, a ‘Canine Lounge’ and treats provided by many local businesses, including Chick-fil-A, Nautical Bowls, Starbucks, Animal Clinic of Windermere and many more.”

The run will benefit the soccer program and help grow local youth futsal programs in local schools.
