The First Academy girls basketball’s Bianca Hall scored her 1,000th career point in a 39-29 home win over Trinity Catholic Jan. 18, to improve to 16-4 on the season.

"It's a great accomplishment and certainly shows the discipline, drive and dedication she has put forth since she started playing in sixth grade,” said Royals Coach Kevin Hall, who is also Bianca’s father, in an Instagram post. “However, my favorite thing about it is that she doesn't really care about it. It's only points, whereas she wants to be great in all phases and even more importantly, she wants to get to Lakeland and win a state (title). … We don’t talk about points or scoring as a focal part of her game. We (talk) about (her) being a leader, being aggressive and impacting the game. Making the right decisions, whether it be score or if it’s to pass. I love her approach to the game, her team and her work behind the scenes.”

In her third season as a member of the Lady Royals, Bianca Hall has stepped up as a key leader of one of the state’s best teams. As of press time, TFA is MaxPreps’ No. 27 ranked team in Florida and the No. 5 ranked FHSAA Class 2A team.
