Cortanie Evans said the outfits and hairstyles of her daughters, third-grader Lilly Evans and fifth-grader Sadie Evans, were inspired by Sabrina Carpenter and Ariana Grande. The ladies attended the dance with Ryan Evans.
Fourth-grader Genevieve Birkler and Isabel Birkler had an excellent time at the dance. "I cannot believe all the decor," Isabel Birkler said of the Hollywood theme.
Kendall Girther and her father, Chris Girther, enjoyed the dance with Kendall Girther's cousin Baylee Byrd, who wore a matching dress.

Kindergartner Parker Jordan and her father, Joey Jordan, made funny faces for their final photo. Joey Jordan said it was surreal to be at his first Girls and a Loved One Dance. "I always knew this day was coming," he said.
Girls spent time dancing with their friends and classmates.

Third-grader Lucy Dobbs showed off her nail art she had done at the dance.
First-grader Ivy Gardner stayed perfectly still while glitter was put on her face.
Marco Marturano danced the Cha Cha Slide with his fourth-grader Gemma Marturano. "We love coming to the dance every year. It's the highlight of our year," Marco Marturano said.
Dozens danced the Cha Cha Slide.
First-graders Chloe Bou and Miranda Tollealba twirled around the dance floor together.
Gisclerc Morisset and fourth-grader Olivia Morisset said their favorite part of the dance was the music.
Second-grader Isabella Botar brought out her inner Elphaba while singing "Defying Gravity" from "Wicked."
Teachers and staff members from Hamlin Elementary School helped make the girls and their loved ones feel like Hollywood royalty.
Leroy Nelson attended his first Girls and a Loved One Dance with kindergartner Leani Nelson. "I love it. It's a dream come true," Leroy Nelson said.
A VIP section was created to make the girls and their families feel even more like Hollywood royalty.
Azi Trinidad, eighth-grader Zoe Trinidad, second-grader Aria Trinidad, and Rafael Trinidad all dressed in a 1920s theme. "We infused old Hollywood with the old Audrey Hepburn," Azi Trinidad said.

It was all glitz and glam at Hamlin Elementary School's Girls and a Loved One Dance.
Girls and their families became Hollywood royalty as they entered the Hamlin Middle School gym Saturday, March 8, to walk down the red carpet.
The paparazzi was there in full force, giving families multiple photo opportunities.
Girls also could eat and rest in the VIP lounge before or after hitting the dance floor.
The night was a memorable one for many, especially first-time attendees like Joey Jordan and his kindergartner, Parker Jordan.
"It's a little surreal," Joey Jordan said. "I always knew this day was coming."
