Two West Orange high schools see success at statewide high school hospitality competition

Students from Olympia and Horizon high schools placed in top three at the Hospitality & Tourism Management Competition.

Students from Olympia and Horizon high schools placed in the top three at a Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association Educational Foundation competition.

The students competed in the 21st annual Hospitality & Tourism Management Competition, which is a statewide competition focused on categories including hotel operations, hospitality project and the Knowledge Bowl.

Horizon High School's Hunter Baucom, Nathan Wing, Carmen Tucker and Annabella Maiguel placed third in the Hospitality Project Competition. 

Olympia High School's Audrey Heaton, Isabel Miller and Karly Sollars placed second in the Hotel Operations Competition. 

The students were awarded scholarships from the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association Educational Foundation and Florida International University.
