Massey scholarship accepting applications

The legacy program is open to all graduating seniors who live in Winter Garden.

The nonprofit organization Hope Along the Way is accepting applications for the Frankie Massey Legacy Scholarship 2025. The submission deadline is April 25, and awards of $250 will be announced April 30.

Applicants must be a graduating high school senior for the 2024-25 school year, have a grade-point average of 2.5 or higher, be a Winter Garden resident and be accepted into a two- or four-year college or university or a trade school.

Hope Massey started the scholarship program in memory of her father, Frankie Massey.

“Let’s honor the legacy of continued education by empowering our next generation of leaders,” Hope Massey said.

Aside from earning her journalism degree from the University of Georgia, she hasn’t strayed too far from her hometown and her three-mile bubble.
