Pig on the Pond returns this weekend

The Pig on the Pond Community Festival returns this weekend to Clermont.

The annual festival takes place from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, March 28; 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, March 29; and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 30, at Waterfront Park, 330 Third St., Clermont.

The three-day festival is the largest such event in Lake County and attracts more than 20,000 people annually. Attendees will enjoy a carnival, live entertainment, kids zone and fireworks, in addition to dozens of sponsored activities. The festival also will include the fourth annual Junior Grillmasters Competition barbecue contest, as well as a Pet “Spring Fling” Costume Contest.

The festival is hosted by Project Scholars, a non-profit organization that raises funds for college scholarships for local students.

Tickets are $5 per adult and $3 per child. Children younger than 2 are admitted for free.
