Windermere football’s C.J. Bronaugh, one of the top college football recruits in the area, announced he will take four official visits this summer, stopping in Gainesville to visit the Florida Gators first Friday, May 30, Nebraska Friday, June 6, FSU Saturday, June 13 and Penn State Friday, June 20.

Despite being committed to play at Nebraska since November, the 6-foot-1, four-star defensive back has continued to be heavily recruited by a litany of powerhouse programs — picking up offers from Oregon, LSU, Florida, Miami, North Carolina and more.

The recent attention for the state champion sprinter has been no surprise given he’s lighting up the track so far this season and making noise on the football camp circuit, recently running a 4.39 40-yard dash at the Under Armor Next camp series stop in Orlando, the fastest time from any of the camp’s 2025 stops at the time.

Bronaugh also won the defensive back MVP at the camp, helped set a new school record time of 41.4 in the 4x100 relay and set a personal best in both the 100-meter dash, with a time of 10.33, and 200-meter dash, with a time of 20.87.
