Orange County Supervisor of Elections announces student sticker contest winners

The Orange County Supervisor of Elections office announced the winners for their first student sticker contest pertaining to the 2021-22 school year.

“We are always looking for ways to educate our students about, and engage them in, the election process,” said Orange County Supervisor of Elections, Bill Cowles. “The sticker contest is one more tool to get students excited about voting, and of course to remind their parents about the upcoming elections!”

There were three winners; one from elementary school,  one from middle school, and one from high school.

Elementary School winner Linsa said about her design, "I live in Florida. Florida’s orange is so good and famous all over the world. I recommend Florida’s orange with confidence. I’ll vote with confidence when I’ll be 18.”

Middle School winner Jacob said about his design, "It represents red, white and blue. The flag of America.”

High School winner Isabella said about her design, "This is a simple sticker design I made. It includes red, white, and blue (reminiscent of the American flag) to make it more visually appealing.”

OCPS will be seeing these stickers during the 2022-23 school year, as the elections office will generate "I Voted" stickers, for schools events and elections, using the winning designs.

The elections office is always open to collaborating with OCPS to provide presentations, mock elections, office tours, among others.
