PHOTOS: Ocoee falls 13-12 to Apopka

Ocoee entered its first game of the 2022 football season against Apopka with a strong offense and an even stronger defense. 

Neither team was able to score during the first half of the game. 

However, after taking a 12-0 lead during the third quarter, the Apopka Blue Darters were able to turn the scoreboard around to their favor during the fourth quarter 13-12. 

"We had some things that didn't go our way, we had the opportunity," Ocoee head football coach Aaron Sheppard said. "They did a really good job against us. ... It was game one, we know what we got to do to pull ourselves together." 

The Knights travel to Wekiva High School Friday, Sept. 2, in a non-district game.
